The 8Wise® Method

The 8Wise Method is a psychology-led framework for managing the pressures of modern life.

At its centre is the 8Wise Model, which looks at eight key dimensions of life - emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual, environmental, social, occupational and financial.

The key principle of the 8Wise Method is simple:

When pressure increases faster than our capacity to manage it, life begins to feel overwhelming impacting our mental health and wellbeing.

The 8Wise Model

At the centre of the 8Wise Method is the 8Wise Model, a simple way of understanding how different areas of life influence our mental health and wellbeing.

Rather than looking at problems in isolation, the model recognises that pressure often builds across multiple parts of life at the same time. Work demands, relationships, health, finances and responsibilities can all interact, increasing pressure and reducing our mental capacity to manage it.
