  1. Think about your current job

Write down things that you like or don’t like about your current role. From this, you’ll be able to have a better idea of the kind of role you’d like.

Think about what you want to change. You may want to try a different role in the same industry, or maybe something completely different is more appealing.

  1. List careers

Write down careers and industries that you think would be a good fit for your skills and values.

  1. Job hunt

Online platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn are great for looking for potential roles and making a shortlist. You can then use the jobs on offer to research what each role entails.

  1. Research!

Reach out to people you already know in different industries and talk to them about their roles and what their day to day looks like.

  1. Make a plan

Once you have decided what career you would like, think about what you need to do to make it a reality. Do you need any extra qualitifactions or certificates? Do you need to learn new skills? Write everything down and put your plan into action.

  1. Look after yourself

Job hunting and changing career can be stressful, so don’t forget to practise self care to protect your wellness.
